This course presents comprehensive information regarding the ways in which treatment alternatives such as specialty courts are being utilized for individuals with co-occurring disorders in the criminal justice system. It is intended to provide an overview of the characteristics and needs of individuals with co-occurring disorders, as well as to describe best practices associated with positive outcomes in treatment settings and the courts.
