About the Author:

Eric E. McCollum, PhD, is Associate Professor and Clinical Director in the marriage and family therapy program at Virginia Tech’s Northern Virginia Center. Dr. McCollum has spent the past ten years doing research and training in the area of family therapy of substance abuse, including consulting to the state of Washington and being co-investigator on a five-year NIDA-funded research project in Phoenix, Arizona. He is on the editorial boards of the Journal of Marital and Family Therapy and the Journal of Family Psychotherapy and is a contributing editor for The Family Therapy Networker.

Terry S. Trepper, PhD, is Director of the Family Studies Center, Professor of Psychology, and Professor of Marriage and Family Therapy at Purdue University Calumet in Hammond, Indiana. He is Editor of the Journal of Family Psychotherapy and Editor-In-Chief of The Haworth Clinical Practice Press.
