About the Course:

Substance Abuse Treatment for Persons With Co-Occurring Disorders (TIP 42) adopts a program perspective to examine both outpatient and residential settings for treating clients with co-occurring disorders (COD), highlighting promising treatment models that have emerged both within the substance abuse field and elsewhere. It discusses various treatment approaches and models available to those working in substance abuse settings and addresses emerging models of care for people with COD. Course materials are from Appendix E, found on pages 437-458 of pdf document (pages 462-483 if using Adobe toolbar page finder).

This course is based on the reading-based online, Emerging Models (TIP 42, Appendix E): Substance Abuse Treatment for Persons With Co-Occurring Disorders created by SAMHSA in 2005.
