This publication presents clinical guidelines to help substance abuse treatment counselors address issues that arise from their clients’ status in the criminal justice system and to aid personnel in the criminal justice system in understanding and addressing the challenges of working with offenders with substance use disorders. This course covers Chapter 11 (adobe pages 259-277) of TIP 44 and addresses key issues related to program development for substance abuse treatment of adults in the criminal justice system.
