This publication presents clinical guidelines to help substance abuse treatment counselors address issues that arise from their clients’ status in the criminal justice system and to aid personnel in the criminal justice system in understanding and addressing the challenges of working with offenders with substance use disorders. This course covers Chapter 9 (adobe pages 211-236) and addresses substance abuse treatment issues specific to prisons.
